Sustainable Living Scotland was devised by Annie Kenyon, an architect based in Aberdeenshire. Annie’s practice specialises in design-led sustainable restoration, conversion and new-build architecture and is dedicated to promoting sustainable construction methods and products wherever possible.
Annie’s enthusiasm for sustainable architecture led her to organise Sustainable Living Scotland, a group working to raise awareness of sustainable methods and products in all areas of life: food & drink, transport, nature and ecology, waste reduction, education and community, as well as the built environment.
In Spring 2010, Sustainable Living Scotland will hold a festival in the countryside to bring together like-minded people. It will be a family event including music, crafts, talks and films, and will also provide an opportunity for local businesses and other organisations to promote sustainable services and products. More details will be available in Autumn 2009.
In the meantime, the Sustainable Living Scotland website will be regularly updated to provide information about how to reduce your carbon footprint in everyday life and will direct you to other useful organisations and suppliers of sustainable products and services.
We hope you enjoy our website and we would love to receive your suggestions, views and comments, so please feel free to get in touch.
